# Adding Business Passwords in Paige

Your business likely has its own set of logins such as payroll platforms, banking portals, accounting software, vendor accounts. Storing those passwords in Paige alongside your other credentials means the people who need access someday will be able to find everything in one place, without having to guess or dig.

The process for adding a business password works exactly the same way as adding any other password in Paige, the key is making sure the entry is labeled clearly enough that someone else would immediately understand what account it belongs to and why it matters.

**Before you begin:** Business passwords are stored in the same Passwords section as your personal accounts. At this time, there isn't a separate business-only vault, so clear, descriptive titles are helpful.

#### **How to Add a Business Password**

1. From the top navigation, click **Passwords**.
2. Click the **+ Add Password** button in the upper right corner.
3. In the **Account Type** field, choose the type that best fits the account you're adding. For most business accounts, a best practice is to use one of the following:

   | **Account Type** | **Good For...** |
   | --- | --- |
   | Financial Account | Business bank accounts, payroll platforms, credit card portals |
   | Digital Account | Business email, cloud storage, project management tools, vendor logins |
   | Home Service | Utilities or service accounts tied to a business property |
   | Device | Business laptops, phones, tablets, or security systems |
4. In the **Title** field, give the entry a name that's specific and meaningful — not just the platform name, but what it's *for*. For example:

- - Business Checking — First National Bank
    - Payroll Login — Gusto
    - LLC Tax Filing — TurboTax Business
    - Business Email — hello@mycompany.com

       5.   Fill in the remaining fields:

- - **Website Address** — the URL where this account is accessed (optional, but helpful)
    - **Username** — the login email or username for this account
    - **Password** — enter and confirm the password; use the show/hide toggle to verify it's correct

       6.   Add any relevant context in the **Notes** field. This is a great place to include things              like:

- - Which bank branch manages the account
    - The name of a business partner who also has access
    - Account numbers or billing reference codes
    - Any special login instructions (e.g., requires a one-time code sent to a business phone)

      7.    If you have a written record of this password — on paper or in a screenshot — you              can drag and drop that file into the upload area at the bottom of the form.

     8.   Click **Save**.

#### **A Note on Keeping Business Passwords Organized**

There's no limit to how many passwords you can store, so feel free to be thorough. The more complete your business password entries are, the more prepared the people you trust will be.

Because all passwords — personal and business — live in the same section, you can use the **Account Type** filter and the **Find a password** search bar to quickly locate business entries whenever you need them. Using consistent naming patterns (like always starting business entries with the word "Business" or your company name) can make searching even easier.

### Common Questions

##### **"Can I share individual business passwords with specific people?"**

Sharing access to your Paige account is managed through your [**delegate**](https://resources.go-paige.com/important-terms#delegate) settings. Delegates you've designated will be able to access your passwords when the time comes.

##### **"What if the password for a business account changes?"**

Just come back to the Passwords section, find the entry, and update it. A best practice is to treat your Paige password vault the same way you'd treat a secure filing cabinet, so check in any time something changes.

##### **"I have multiple businesses. Should I create separate entries for each one?"**

Yes — a best practice is to create one entry per account, per business. That way, whoever accesses your information later won't have to sort through combined entries or make assumptions about which login belongs to which business.
