Step 2 — Complete your Essential Setup
When you first log in, after completing some initial profile questions, you can click through our tool tips and choose your own adventure in Paige, or navigate to our Documents tab and Select to start your Essential Setup.
Our Essential Setup popup is a 6-step guided flow that guides you through basic legacy planning steps to get you started on your journey of creating a holistic Legacy Plan for your loved ones. You can save and exit at any point and return later; nothing needs to be completed in one sitting.
Here's what the Essential Setup covers:
- Personal Information: Your basic details — name, date of birth, address, Social Security Number (optional), and a photo ID upload. This gives your loved ones the foundational information they'd need to act on your behalf.
- Will: Begin or complete your will directly within the setup. You can assign beneficiaries, divide assets, and make your wishes legally clear. This step can be skipped and returned to — will creation is also available anytime from your dashboard.
- Life Insurance Policy: Record your life insurance policy details so your family knows exactly what coverage exists and how to access it.
- Funeral & Burial Wishes: Document your preferences for burial or cremation, service type, location, and any other wishes — so your family doesn't have to guess.
- Medical Info: Store key medical information: conditions, medications, physicians, and advance directives. Especially important if you have a complex medical history or specific end-of-life care wishes.
- Child Guardianship: If you have minor children, designate who should care for them if you're no longer able to. This is one of the most important steps for parents.
You don't have to complete every step right away. Skip what doesn't apply and come back when you're ready. All of this information can be updated anytime.
Step 3 — Explore the Platform
Once your Essential Setup is underway, you can explore the full Paige platform at your own pace. Each area below has its own help documentation — click the link to go deeper on any section.
📄 Will Creation-
- Create a state-specific will in about 15 minutes. Assign beneficiaries, name guardians, define medical directives, and document funeral preferences. One-time fee applies.
-
- Upload and organize critical documents — insurance policies, property deeds, IDs, financial records, and more. Control who can access each document and when.
-
- Securely store login credentials for your important online accounts. Add notes to each entry so your family has context, not just a username and password.
-
- Build a list of the key people your family would need to reach — your attorney, financial advisor, insurance agents, doctors, veterinarians, school principals, and others. Include each person's role so it's clear who handles what.
-
- If you own or operate a small business, document your entity information, key accounts, important contracts, and succession plan. Protect your employees and keep things running if you're suddenly unavailable.
-
- Store photos, videos, and written notes for your family to keep. Build a collection of stories, traditions, recipes, and moments that outlast a lifetime.
-
- Write personal messages for specific people and schedule them for future delivery — at a milestone, after your passing, or anytime you choose. Only you decide when and how they're sent.
-
- Assign trusted individuals as delegates — people who can access your account after your passing is verified. You can also share specific documents or information with anyone at any time, on your terms.
