How to Add a Contact

Your address book in Paige is more than a list of names, it's the foundation for how you’ll share your plans, information and wishes. The people you add here are the ones you can assign as recipients of documents, messages, memories, and more.

Contacts can be family members, close friends, trusted colleagues, or really anyone you'd want to be part of your plan. You can always add more later, so don't worry about having everyone figured out right now.

Common Questions

Getting to the Contacts Page

You can reach your contacts a couple of ways:

  1. From the Dashboard, click the Contacts tile and select "Add new contact →"
  2. Or, click Contacts in the top navigation bar from anywhere in the app

Both paths will bring you to the Contacts page at app.go-paige.com/contacts.

Adding a New Contact

The Add a New Contact form sits right at the top of the page. Here's what to fill in:

  1. Enter the contact's First Name
  2. Enter their Last Name
  3. Enter their Email Address
  4. Click Save

That's it! Once saved, your contact will appear in your address book below the form.

You'll notice a Delegate checkbox in the form. You don't need to worry about that right now — delegates play a specific role in your legacy plan and have their own setup process. "Learn more about delegates"

What You'll See After Saving

Once a contact is added, they'll show up in your Address Book — the searchable table below the form. Each entry shows:

  • Their name and initials avatar
  • Their email address
  • A status badge (new contacts will appear as Contact in blue)
  • Options to edit or remove them

Editing a Contact's Details

After a contact is saved, you can add more information to their profile. Things like a birthdate, address, or other personal details that may be helpful for your plan.

To edit a contact:

  1. Find them in your Address Book
  2. Click the pencil icon on their row
  3. This opens their full contact profile, where you can update or add details
  4. Make your changes and save

A best practice is to fill in as much detail as you can over time. The more complete your contact profiles are, the more useful your plan will be for the people who one day need it.

Finding a Contact You've Already Added

As your list grows, the Search bar at the top of the Address Book can help you quickly find anyone. Just type a name or email address and your list will filter in real time.

Common Questions

"How many contacts can I add?"

There's no set limit. Add as many people as your plan calls for. A good place to start is with immediate family members or close friends that would need to access your info and wishes in an emergency or upon your passing.

"Does the contact get notified when I add them?"

Simply adding someone as a contact does not send them a notification. They'll only be contacted if you choose to share something with them directly, or if they're invited to become a delegate.

"Can I delete a contact?"

Yes. Each contact row in the Address Book has an icon you can use to remove them. A best practice is to review your contact list periodically to make sure it reflects the people who are still part of your plan.

"What's the difference between a contact and a delegate?"

A contact is simply someone in your address book that you can easily share individual files with. A delegate plays a more active, trusted role and would eventually be given a copy of your entire plan.
