How to Edit a Contact

Your contacts are at the heart of how Paige works, they're the people you'll share documents with, assign as delegates, and include in your legacy plan. Life changes, and so do the details. Here's how to keep your contact information up to date.

Finding the Contact You Want to Edit

All of your saved contacts live in your Address Book, located at the bottom of the Contacts page. You can search by name or scroll to find the person you're looking for.

  1. From the top navigation bar, click Contacts.
  2. Scroll down to your Address Book.
  3. Use the search bar to find the contact by name, or browse the list manually.
  4. Once you've found the contact, click the pencil icon on the right side of their row.

Making Your Changes

Clicking the pencil icon will open that contact's detail page. From here, you can view and update three sections of information.

Contact Card

This is the top section, and it shows the contact's:

  • Full name
  • Email address

To edit, click the pencil icon in the upper right corner of the contact card. Update any fields you'd like to change, then save.

Personal Info

This section can include things like:

  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • Phone number
Contact Info

This section holds address information. If no address has been added yet, it may appear as "Address not specified."

It's a good practice to keep contact details current, especially email addresses. If a contact's email is outdated, any documents or messages you've shared with them may not reach the right inbox.

Saving Your Changes

After updating the fields you need, click Save to apply your changes. You'll return to the contact's page, where you can confirm everything looks right.

Once saved, the updated information will be reflected everywhere that contact appears in Paige — including any sharing settings or delegate assignments already in place.

Common Questions

"Can I change whether a contact is a delegate from the edit screen?"

The delegate role can be assigned from the Address Book using the "Set as delegate" button on a contact's row, not from within the edit form itself. If you need to update a contact's delegate status, head back to the main Contacts page.

"What if I need to remove a contact entirely?"

You can delete a contact using the trash icon on their row in the Address Book. Keep in mind that removing a contact may affect any sharing or delegate assignments connected to them. A good practice is to review those before deleting.

"I don't see a pencil icon — what's wrong?"

Make sure you're scrolled all the way to the right on the contact row. On smaller screens, the action icons can sometimes be partially hidden. Try widening your browser window or scrolling the table horizontally.
