How to Share Your Will
Paige makes this easy. You can share your will with loved ones either right at the end of the will-building process, or any time afterward through your Documents tool.
Sharing your will in Paige gives your chosen contacts read-only access to your document. They can view it, but cannot edit or delete it. You're always in control of who has access.

Common Questions
Option 1: Share During the Will-Building Process
If you've just finished building your will with Paige's guided will builder, sharing can be viewed as a natural next step and it's built right into the finalization flow.
After downloading your will PDF, you'll land on Step 2: Share With Your Contacts.
- On the Share With Your Contacts screen, click the Choose Contacts dropdown.
- Select one or more people from your contact list to share your will with.
- Click Continue to confirm your selection and move to the final step.
Not ready to share just yet? That's okay. You can click Continue to skip this step and come back to it later through your Documents section whenever you're ready.
Option 2: Share From Your Documents Tool
Whether you created your will in Paige or uploaded an existing one, your will can be shared at any time in the same way you'd share any other document in your account.
Your will can be found in Documents → Finance & Tax → Last Will and Testament.
- From the top navigation, click Documents.
- Under the By Category tab, locate Finance & Tax, then find your will file.
- Click on your will to open the document options.
- Select the Share option.
- Choose the contact(s) you'd like to share with from the dropdown.
- Confirm your selection.
Once shared, your chosen contacts will be able to view your will the next time they log into Paige under their Shared With Me section.
A Few Things Worth Knowing
- You can share with multiple people. There's no limit to how many contacts you share your will with. It can be a good idea to share with both your primary executor and a backup, so more than one person knows where to find it.
- You control access. Sharing your will does not give anyone the ability to change it. Recipients have read-only access.
- You can update your will anytime. If your life circumstances change, you can return to the Will section to update your will. A best practice is to re-share the updated version with your contacts so everyone has the most current document.
- Your will is stored securely. Paige can be viewed as a reliable place where your loved ones can access and read your most important documents.
- Maintain a paper copy. It’s essential that you print, sign, and safely store a paper copy of your will, and let someone you trust know where it’s located.
Common Questions
"What if I uploaded my own will instead of building one in Paige?"
No difference at all. If you uploaded your own will through the Documents section or during the Essential Setup wizard, it lives in the same place — Documents → Finance & Tax → Last Will and Testament — and can be shared using the exact same steps described in Option 2 above.
"Can I un-share my will with someone?"
Yes. You can manage sharing permissions for any document at any time from your Documents section.
