Who Are My Important Contacts?

Your Contacts section in Paige is where you build the circle of people who matter most to your legacy plan. Think of it as your personal address book with a purpose. The people you add here aren't just names in a list; they're the individuals you may want to share information with, assign responsibilities to, or simply keep connected to your plan.

You don't need to add everyone at once. A best practice is to start with the people who are most central to your life and your wishes, then build from there.

Family Members

Family is often the natural starting point. These are the people most likely to be affected by your legacy plan, and the ones who may need access to your documents, wishes, and information when the time comes.

Consider adding people like:

  • A spouse or domestic partner
  • Adult children
  • Siblings
  • Parents
  • Any other close family members you'd want informed of your wishes

You don't need to include every family member, focus on the people who would play a meaningful role in settling your affairs or who you'd want to stay connected with through Paige's sharing features.

Trusted Friends

Trusted friends can be just as central to your plan as family — especially if they know you well, understand your values, or would be called upon in a difficult moment.

A best practice is to think about the people you'd call first in an emergency, or the ones you'd trust to carry out your wishes if family members weren't available or able to step in.

People You're Giving Responsibility To

Some contacts in Paige take on a more defined role. These are people you may be asking to carry real responsibility or act on your behalf, not just receive information.

Executors

An executor is the person named in your will who is responsible for carrying out your wishes after you pass. This is one of the most important roles you can assign, and a best practice is to add them as a contact in Paige so they're connected to your plan.

Delegates

A delegate is a trusted individual (or individuals) you designate within Paige to have access to your account information after you pass. They will be the ones to let us know you’ve passed on. Once this is confirmed, they will be given a read-only copy of everything you’ve uploaded to Paige. A best practice is to designate at least two delegates, so there's always a backup if one is unable to fulfill their role.

Delegates have a specific role and approval process in Paige. To learn more about how delegates work and how to assign one, see "What Is a Delegate"

A Simple Way to Think About It

If you're not sure where to start, ask yourself: "If something happened to me tomorrow, who would need to know? And who would need to act?" Those are your most important contacts.

A good contact list can include a mix of family members, close friends, and includes one or two people you're formally giving responsibility to. If someone would be a beneficiary of one of your accounts, or would be called upon to carry out any of your wishes, you’ll want to add them as a contact and share the needed information with them.
