How to Share a Memory

Memories in Paige can be kept just for you or shared with the people who matter most. Whether it's a story you want someone to read today or a moment you'd like delivered after you're gone, sharing is entirely on your terms. You decide who receives it, and when.

Before You Share

When you're ready to share a memory, you'll want to have two things in mind:

  • Who you'd like to receive it — this will be a contact already saved in your Paige account
  • When you'd like them to receive it — right away, at a future date, when a delegate triggers it, or after you've passed

If you haven't added your recipient as a contact yet, do that first before starting the sharing flow. "How to Add a Contact"

How to Share a Memory

  1. From your Paige dashboard, navigate to Memories in the main navigation.
  2. Open the memory you'd like to share, or begin creating a new one.
  3. On the memory form, select "Select contacts and schedule" — this opens the sharing modal.
  4. In the Choose Contacts dropdown, select the person (or people) you'd like to receive this memory.
  5. In the Send timing dropdown, choose when you'd like the memory delivered. (See the options below.)
  6. Select Confirm to save your sharing settings.
  7. When you're finished with the rest of the memory, select Save Memory.

Delivery Timing Options

When you share a memory, you can choose from four delivery timing options:

Timing Option

What It Means

Immediately

Your contact receives the memory as soon as you save it

Later

You choose a specific future date for delivery

Delegates can trigger

A trusted delegate you've designated decides when to send it

After-death / in case of emergency

The memory is delivered only upon your passing or a designated emergency trigger

Not sure which timing is right for you? A good way to think about it: if the memory is something that would bring someone joy today, like a story about how you met, sending "Immediately" or "Later" can be a beautiful gift. If it's something more reflective or final, "After-death / in case of emergency" may feel more fitting.

A Few Things to Keep in Mind

  • You can share a memory with more than one person, just select multiple contacts in the Choose Contacts dropdown.
  • Sharing settings can be adjusted as long as the memory hasn't been delivered yet.
  • If you choose "Delegates can trigger," your delegate will need to have been set up in your account.
    "Learn about delegates"
  • Your contacts will not receive any notification that a memory exists until it is delivered based on the timing you've selected.

Once a memory has been delivered, it cannot be unsent. Take a moment to review your contact selection and timing before confirming.

Choosing Not to Share

Sharing is never required. Some memories are simply meant for you such as a record of a moment, a thought you wanted to preserve. If you'd like to save a memory without sharing it, just skip the "Select contacts and schedule" step entirely and select Save Memory when you're done.

Your memory will be stored securely in your account, and you can always come back to add sharing later.

Your memories are private by default. Nothing is shared until you explicitly choose a contact and confirm.
